The Kit Production Worker will perform repetitive work station or line production operations to mass produce products onto a pallet by performing the following duties: assemble product, label, pack, and stack. They will receive materials in production workplace and verify components with the use of visual aids, Finished Part Documents and Placemats. The Kit Production Worker will watch for quality defects and report promptly any materials thought to be defective to management. The Kit Production Worker will attend informational, training, safety, and compliance meetings as scheduled.



  • Follow written instructions on work order, finished part document, visual aids and placemats for various products.
  • Safe use and daily inspection of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks (hand and electric)
  • Inspect raw material needed for producing product, set-up production line, and produce sample for quality inspection.
  • Upon inspection approval, produce product, label, pack, and load grouped orders onto pallets.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  • Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision.
  • Utilize all material handling equipment safely, efficiently, perform all required safety checks and communicate need for repair
  • Accept schedule and direction when there are changes in workloads.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Attend monthly departmental and production meetings.



Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training:



  • Ability to read, communicate and understand written instructions
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems on the production line as they occur
  • Understanding of KPMs and manufacturing packaging line processes
  • General Quality & Safety Awareness
  • Understanding of Lean Principles
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Basic mathematical abilities
  • Mechanical aptitude


Licenses/Certificates:



  • Forklift certification a bonus


Technology/Equipment:



  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Inventory Management System (JDE)



PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.



  • Frequent movement of material up to 60 lbs which may require lifting bending and turning
  • Repetitive movement of materials for assembly up to 10 lbs
  • Occasional use of computers for label printing, quality reporting and inventory purposes
  • Standing for a period up to three hours
  • Visual perception required to operate forklifts and machinery
  • Ability to hear to operate machinery and communicate with Production Line Operator



The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $16 and $20 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
