Job Summary The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to-day operations of all warehouse activities and procedures, including the dispatching and maintenance of all equipment and materials in order to obtain optimum efficiency, safety, quality and timely implementation of work. Ensures the most effective utilization of materials and equipment. Essential Functions

- Direct the cleaning, inspection, repair and painting of construction equipment - electrical, mechanical and hydraulic.
- Assess condition of equipment to aid in repair.
- Administration of inspection, testing, and calibration of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Responsible for managing assets through scheduling equipment utilization and request CapEx purchases to meet construction needs.
- Plan new asset allocation and retirement of old assets based on needs
- Management of facility including maintenance and repair of building, yard, and warehouse.
- Operate forklifts, as well as drive light trucks/stake body truck to pick up and deliver equipment, if required.
- Disburse consumables to employees, as needed; document consumable items given out for inventory-tracking purposes.
- Work directly with field foreman, project managers and the Operations Manager to schedule tools and equipment.
- Ensure that all shipping/receiving is done effectively to promote efficiency.
- Advise management of potential equipment purchases.
- Handle vendor relationships related to ordering parts, buying equipment, billing/purchasing issues while working with other internal departments.
- Issue, maintain, and track tool and equipment issued to field personnel.
- Oversee the offloading of all equipment and tools being returned from jobs to the shop. Make sure they are accounted for and returned to inventory.
- Maintain a master log of all tools and equipment and its location in the field within the warehouse management system (Align/ToolWatch).
- Maintain and repair tools and equipment as needed.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment that is returned to the yard has been inspected and ready for service.
- Keep an inventory of tools and equipment that are in the Foreman trailers.
- Work closely with Fleet Management on reporting movement, condition, utilization, and requirements of fleet at Norwich location.
- Work closely with the Safety department regarding equipment safety programs and training.
- Maintain on file all maintenance and repair records.
- Keep yard clean and organized.
- Dispatch delivery vehicles to jobsites, as needed. Make arrangements for any maintenance, registration, or inspection needed with Fleet management.
- Manage the driver operations, including supervising and instructing as needed.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 + years of experience working in a warehouse environment; previous supervisory or lead experience preferred; must have mechanical experience to repair tools.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work well with and support internal customers
- Must know how to operate a fork lift truck; ability to safely operate various power tools.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical information, such as repair manuals, parts books, etc.
- Ability to organize construction assets and account for the cost of maintenance and the location of those assets.
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, Access, and e-mail.
- Experience in Align/ToolWatch (warehouse management system) and Motive (fleet telematics) is a plus.
