This is a remote position with the ideal candidate residing near one of our office sites in Colorado Springs, CO., Huntsville, AL., Alexandria, VA., or Dayton, OH.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Microsoft 365 SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for the administration, support, and maintenance of our Microsoft 365 SharePoint environment, and supporting the overall Digital Workplace productivity and collaboration goals of the organization. Team members of this role will work closely with the Service Desk to quickly resolve user issues. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to ensure seamless collaboration and productivity across the organization. This role requires SharePoint Administration, as well as development via the Microsoft Power Platform including PowerAutomate, PowerApps, and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Administration:

  • Administer and manage the Microsoft 365 SharePoint environment, including site collections, permissions, and user access.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Design and implement SharePoint site collections using requirements obtained from stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain SharePoint workflows, document libraries, and other collaboration tools.
  • Develop and implement custom SharePoint features and functionalities, such as custom web parts, PowerAutomate workflows, PowerApps, and custom forms, using technologies like JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and PowerShell.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to ensure seamless integration with other Microsoft 365 services, such as Teams and OneDrive.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for SharePoint usage, governance, and data security.
  • Provide end-user training and support to enhance adoption and productivity.
  • Plan and execute migration of existing content to the SharePoint platform and manage the lifecycle of SharePoint sites.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using tools like the Microsoft 365 admin center and PowerShell scripts.
  • Ensure optimal performance and user satisfaction by addressing connectivity and service issues.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Provide seamless experiences and self-service management capabilities for users.
  • Acts as a resource/mentor for colleagues with less experience.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, INformation Technology or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 SharePoint Administrator, including Teams and OneDrive.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft Certified: M365 Admin, M356 Apps (SharePoint, Teams)
  • Microsoft Power Platform
  • 8 + years related experience

Required Clearance:

Must have an Active Secret Clearance: US citizenship required.

Travel:

Occassional travel to MTSI offices and events thoughout the country
