Storage Clerk

Overview

To accept, store, issue and deliver ordered items and supplies to requestors. Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory and organized warehouse space in multiple warehouse locations. Resolve escalated issues. The work is performed in an industrial, air conditioned environment, and involves tasks where hands and clothing may become soiled. Protective clothing and shoes are provided. Tasks are performed in a standing position and require mobility within the working and adjacent areas.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend process improvements regarding operations and work assignments to the Supervisor
  • Conduct quality control inspections and ensure storage practices and procedures are followed
  • Assist in training and developing of level I staff
  • May serve as Controlled Forms Custodian in the vault in their absence
  • Work with Inventory Control to maintain accurate inventory levels of critical items
  • Receive, inspect, sort, store and distributes controlled forms
  • Maintain records of transactions of controlled forms to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Maintain physical security of controlled forms and other secured items by safeguarding vault entry and access
  • Investigate, report and reconcile any inventory discrepancies of controlled forms
  • Complete monthly and quarterly audit of controlled forms
  • Receive and file delivery confirmation for all controlled forms shipped
  • Provide logistical support for Navy Federal events
  • Ensure adherence to Navy Federal policies and procedures, and safety regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, storage and or inventory management, or related clerical or technical roles
  • Ability to lead, guide, and mentor others
  • Ability to use automated systems (e.g., automated inventory, shipping systems, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective skill to update/maintain spreadsheets, reports and production tracking documents
  • Effective skill in following instructions, policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Effective skill in communicating effectively and tactfully with all levels of employees and vendors
  • Effective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions

  • Working knowledge of Navy Federal organizational structure and facilities

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Location: 5550 Heritage Oaks Drive, Pensacola, FL 32526 (on-site not a hybrid role)
