Monday-Friday (9:00 am - 5:00 pm) *Competitive Pay* - $20.00+ an hour *Expedited Interviews* - Access to additional Resume support and pre-interview questions *Great Benefits* - Take advantage of a Blue Cross Blue Shield benefits package (Dental, vision, 401k) * * * * *A day in the role...* * Complete full financial clearance of upcoming scheduled visits (insurance verification, pre-registration and authorization) * Will submit authorization request, including applicable clinicals, to payer authorizing services. * Will also be responsible for follow up with payer to receive a determination on authorization, escalating as necessary to ensure pre- service approval. * The Authorization Specialist will be responsible for completing full financial clearance for upcoming scheduled visits, including insurance verification, pre-registration, and authorization. * Duties include submitting authorization requests with applicable clinical documentation to payers, following up for determinations, and escalating cases as necessary to ensure pre-service approvals. * * *Necessary Skills and Strengths:* Insurance Payer Knowledge | Insurance Authorization | Insurance Verifications | Medical Terminology | Prior Authorizations | Proof of Medical Necessity | EMR Systems | Insurance Portals | Patient Registration | Hospital Experience *Core Experience:* * 1 + Years of Authorization Experience * Insurance Authorizations (Submission and Coordination) * Understands patient registration. * Knowledge of insurance verification and precertification. * Prior usage of insurance portals. * Minimum Experience required: High School/GED required *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
