Our established client (large management consulting firm) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Learning Portfolio Leader/Instructional Designer to join their Global L&D team. In this role, you will help shape and drive the learning strategy for 10K+ employees, ensuring that leadership development is integrated with the organization's growth and transformation goals.

As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and implement leadership programs that provide immediate value to our consulting professionals while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning across the organization. You will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our leadership curriculum, contributing to the development of our employees at all levels, from new hires to senior leaders.

Role Tasks:

  • Strategic Learning Design & Development: Lead the creation of both in-person and virtual learning events in collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and instructional designers. Focus on identifying organizational learning needs and developing or enhancing learning materials to maximize effectiveness and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Leadership Program Design: Oversee the development of milestone programs for new hires and those promoted into specific levels, including specialized programs such as "Lead Series" for HiPOs, Multicultural Leaders, and Senior Leadership frameworks for experienced leaders.
  • Facilitation Preparation: Prepare internal facilitators and develop a vision for impactful learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collect and analyze participant feedback, ensuring that insights drive continuous enhancements to the learning experience.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships across the organization, ensuring stakeholders are informed about the latest L&D developments using strong communication and collaboration skills to influence and align the learning portfolio with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay abreast of the latest learning trends, technologies, and platforms. Introduce innovative approaches to learning activities, integrating both physical and virtual environments where appropriate.


Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with a strong preference for experience in the Consulting/Professional Services industry.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and time management skills. You take pride in your ability to execute and facilitate learning, and lead groups of diverse individuals.
  • Ability to see both the "big picture" and the details, with an understanding of how learning initiatives support organizational strategy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Teams, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. An avid user of learning technologies, platforms, apps, and tools.
  • Familiarity with LMSs, course authoring tools, and other learning technologies.
  • A genuine passion for people development and continuous learning. Curious, always seeking to understand new methods and technologies that can enhance learning.


Start: April 2025.

Duration: 6-12 months.


Hours: 40 hours per week with partially flexible working hours.

Location: 100% virtual role with the potential for very limited travel for design meetings.

The pay range is $65 to $80 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
