As a Senior Digital Product Manager - Admin Services supporting our Digital Health Team, you will be focusing on building digital health platform applications within the Digital Health Foundational services organization. As we accelerate design and development of new and innovative digital health products at Alcon, a dedicated senior product manager focusing on building digital health product administration applications that supports the engineering, field service, clinical teams, optimizing processes, enhancing user experience, providing effective support, and fostering continuous improvement. This role will refine the platform vision as it relates to digital health administration applications, oversee the creation and refinement of strategies, establish/maintain roadmaps, and ensure delivery against those roadmaps. The candidate will be responsible for managing the platform administration capabilities from concept to launch to end of life. Working closely with the leaders of the engineering and delivery functions, this role ensures that the platforms achieve both the customers' targeted outcomes and the organization's business objectives. Further, this will have an end-customer facing as well as internal teams facing role, presenting roadmaps, facilitating discovery sessions with key customers & internal stakeholders, and refining strategies based on insights.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Providing strategic direction to the Digital Health Foundational Services organization to drive competitive advantage and enable accelerated growth aligned with overall business strategy as it relates to cloud & identity services.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with critical business and technology decision makers, including internal stakeholders, vendors, and other external partners.
  • Create systematic approaches to capture and utilize competitive intelligence across the organization and integrate them into product strategy and roadmap.
  • Establish a cohesive platform strategy and roadmap that's market backed and aligned to the business goals. Define release strategies and themes for each release.
  • Work with key stakeholders to make frequent, dynamic prioritization decisions based on the latest market insights, product team metrics and customer feedback. Define, track, and communicate key product performance indicators required to inform this process and track business results.
  • Work with engineering and product leaders to optimize capital allocation that balances various needs - vision development, prototyping, development, and sustenance.
  • Bring digital platform capabilities and data products to market by ensuring various teams involved are prepared to deliver and service the product throughout its life cycle. Continually monitor and refine the product.
  • Attract, hire, develop and provide leadership to product team members, including product managers, product owners, product operations and experience designers in a matrixed organization.
  • Nurture a culture of innovation and experimentation, and effectively mentor, guide and evaluate team members. Support a collaborative, diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure Digital Health Foundational Services.
  • Collaborate with Digital Health, R&D, IT, and regional/service teams to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on customer feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including executive leadership, to provide updates on the status of engineering and support initiatives, key metrics, and strategic direction.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering and support experience, analyze data to find opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous optimization efforts.
  • Perform regular product demos with the larger cross-functional team.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in digital health and modern Software engineering tools and practices.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
  • 7 Years of relevant experience
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Travel requirements: up to 10% Domestic and International
