Food Service Maintenance Supervisor

The primary purpose of the Physical Plant is to maintain the building, grounds, and infrastructure of the UNCW campus so that it is safe, reliable, clean, and attractive. This includes departments such as HVAC, Electric, Plumbing, Landscaping, Housekeeping, Motor Pool, Food Services Maintenance, Carpentry, Paint and Roofing, Fire Alarm and Physical Security and Access and Locksmith Services.

The Supervisor of Food Service Maintenance leads the general maintenance and repair of all Facilities Services buildings including 18 different dining and convenience store locations. This position has a strong influence in determining the overall operations of the vendors and oversees contract vendors to ensure continuity of operations and quality of service and operations.

This position has been designated as mandatory personnel for the University and maybe required to report to work during adverse weather conditions even though theUniversity may be operating on an alternate schedule. This position may assist in theremoval of snow, ice or debris, as required.

High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in trade(s) areas assigned; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
