As part of the Energy, Resilience and Sustainability (ERS) Division, you will collaborate with experts to provide comprehensive policy, planning, and implementation services addressing critical needs in support of our federal clients.

The ERS Division is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to support our Marine Corps clients by providing technical analysis for a portfolio of microgrid projects. As an Energy Project Coordinator, you will work closely with a team to conceptualize and develop complex projects delivering microgrid solutions to address installation energy security requirements. You will support the team by conducting technical analyses, writing technical memos, and coordinating project execution efforts. This position is remote. Travel for this position is expected to be 25%.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Apply knowledge of energy industry to the development of projects that will increase the resiliency of Marine Corps installations.
  • Support multiple energy projects simultaneously in support of Marine Corps installations. Activities include monitoring, tracking and reporting on project tasks, providing technical input during initial scoping, reviewing contractual documents including scope of work and cost estimates, collaborating with stakeholders (e.g., installation engineers and energy managers, execution agents, contracting officers, third party contractors and vendors).
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings/forums, developing, consolidating, and delivering associated materials and monitoring due outs.
  • Assist in development of information papers, briefings and presentations that communicate complex technical concepts, including energy project operations and requirements, to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Build Strong client relationships.
  • Travel to project sites as needed to participate in stakeholder meetings and monitor progress and performance.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or related discipline with 4-6 years of directly related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent time management, project management, and follow through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently in in a virtual environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • The candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Common Access Card (CAC) for this position.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Navy and Marine Corps structure and operations.
  • Experience in government consulting or supporting government organizations

  • Familiarity with Marine Corps/DoD energy and water resilience and clean energy requirements, processes, and tools.
