The Assistant Director, Slate reports to the Senior Slate Administrator and is part of a team that maintains the Pre-college and Non-degree portion of the Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate instances of the Technolutions Slate system, respectively. This role will provide knowledge in support of Pre-college and Non-degree initiatives including event management, building queries, communication support, management of Pre-college and Non-degree applications, document management, data uploads into Slate, and data integrations with the Student Information System and other campus systems.
The Assistant Director, Slate will support business processes that allow staff to work smarter and more efficiently in support of critically important department and university goals. This position will document Slate functionality and business processes for use by the Office of Pre-college and Non-degree and some college partners across campus. This individual will keep the Office of Pre-college/ Non-degree current on known issues in Slate platform relevant to enrollment discussions. Additionally, they will coordinate with the Slate team to apply their knowledge and creativity in creating and building solutions as part of a team. The Assistant Director, Slate builds solutions by collaborating on new functionality, providing timelines, developing processes in Slate as needed, as well as testing, documenting, and implementing a training plan.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Pre-college and Non-degree portion of the Undergraduate Admissions and Graduate instances of Slate
CRM and acts as one of the Slate Captains within the Office for Student Success. This includes:
CRM Strategy & Management:
Develop and Implement CRM Strategy for Pre-college and Non-degree: Design and oversee CRM strategies to optimize customer engagement, retention, and acquisition. Ensure alignment with overall marketing goals. Customer Segmentation: Analyze customer data to segment audiences effectively, enabling personalized marketing campaigns and customer journeys. Lifecycle Management: Manage and optimize the customer lifecycle, from lead generation and nurturing to conversion and post-purchase engagement, using the CRM. Data-Driven Decision Making: Use CRM data and analytics to track customer behavior, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve marketing efforts and customer relationships.
CRM Campaign Management
CRM Campaign Execution: Plan, execute, and monitor multi-channel CRM campaigns (email, SMS, social media, etc.), ensuring timely delivery and consistent messaging.
CRM Data & Analytics
- Data Management & Enrichment: Ensure the CRM data is clean, up-to-date, and enriched with meaningful insights such as purchase history, preferences, and interactions.
- Reporting & KPIs: Generate regular reports on key CRM metrics like customer lifetime value (CLV), churn rate, and campaign effectiveness. Provide insights and recommendations based on performance.
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
- Perform system configuration, maintenance, enhancements, and quality control for all applications, forms, decisions, communications, events, and portals related to Pre-College and Non-Degree programs.
- Serve as a primary technical liaison for Slate CRM with internal campus partners (IT, Registrar, Academic Advising) regarding data within Pre-College and Non-Degree programs in Undergraduate and Graduate Slate instances.
- Support enrollment leadership with the management and growth strategy of Pre-College and Non-Degree programs, including dashboards, reporting, and new technology implementation.
- Assist with large-scale Pre-College and Non-Degree admissions events.
- Serve as a backup to the Student Experience Program Associate, specifically in areas related to international student processing, support, and Banner system coding.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |

CRM Software Proficiency: Experience with CRM platforms such as Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics, including the ability to customize and optimize these systems to meet organizational needs is desired. Data Analysis and Customer Segmentation: Strong analytical skills to interpret customer data, identify trends, and develop targeted strategies that enhance engagement and retention is preferred. Marketing Automation and Campaign Management: Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns, utilizing automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency is strongly preferred.
Experience:
Experience in
CRM management, digital marketing, or related fields, demonstrating a track record of successful
CRM utilization and customer engagement strategies is desirable. |
