JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The School of Engineering at Penn State Behrend is seeking qualified applicants for a one-year Manufacturing Research Engineer position with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will support metals manufacturing initiatives including, but not limited to, workforce development, instruction, research, and curriculum development. The Manufacturing Research Engineer will have the opportunity to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of scholars across the Penn State University system including PSU personnel, students, and local industry. Additionally, the Manufacturing Research Engineer will be expected to perform fundamental and applied research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and write technical proposals to provide financial support for Behrend's metals manufacturing initiatives.
