Job Summary As a Medical Equipment Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the management for the equipment procurement on assigned projects on a range of activities from quoting and bidding to ordering and tracking. Candidate will have oversite of all project related procurement activities and coordinating with project team to support and deliver these projects. You will lead the progress of procurement on projects to be timely and accurate for successful project deployments. Working alongside project managers and equipment planners, you will be accountable for all procurement aspects of projects to aligned and follow both client and internal Introba standards. Responsibilities & Qualifications Duties & Responsibilities Procurement:
  • Oversee the entire procurement process on multiple projects.
  • Present procurement kick-off meetings for clients and lead ongoing procurement meetings throughout the projects.
  • Gain an understanding of the client's current purchase process and how we can use best practices to assist them to meet project expectations.
  • Assistin building the procurement schedule and taking ownership to make sure the entire team (Planner, Procurement, Logistics) stays on schedule to meet project deadlines.
  • Provide leadership and coordinate activitiesfor all facets of the process from RFP/quotes to tracking and expediting orders.
  • Participate in and/or lead equipment sign-off meetings.
  • PrepareRFPdocuments to include equipment specifications, T&C's, contract language, service level agreements and warranty language.
  • Review and respond to vendor RFI's.
  • Analyze RFP's/quotes to confirm necessary specifications are met or identify alternate vendors.
  • Participation in coordinating final T&C's with the client.
  • Participate in and/or lead final pricing negotiations.
  • Manage or attend vendor bid presentations or coordination for vendor equipment trials.
  • Coordinate any changes of purchased versus planned equipment items with project manager, architect and engineer for medical, electrical and plumbing issues.
  • Develop purchase requisitions/ordersor enter into client database/software as requested in our contract.
  • Provide recommendations to achieve project objectives.
  • Control or assist the Project Manager in reporting client budgets and flagging issues to the internal project team.
  • Provide regular reports to the Owner summarizing current project statuswith regard topurchases and costs.
  • Manage and review coordinator work as needed.
  • Participate in hospital surveys,design, planning,procurement, logisticsmeetings, and installation efforts as necessary
  • Provide project close-out documents at completion
Planning:
  • Participate in early Architecturally Significant Equipment (ASE) RFPs.
BIM:
  • Proficiency to review medical equipment drawings to identify procurement related items such as refrigerator door swings
Installation:
  • Coordinate with the Logistics team for installation needs, ensuring all install documentation is provided as well as assist in the reconciliation of any on-site equipment issuesin regard todamage or returns as applicable
Business Development:
  • Assists in preparation of project proposals and attends meetings as a project representative, working to establish positive client relationships.
Travel:
  • Travels to project sites to support responsibilities as needed.
Professional Development:
  • Maintains a current knowledge of medical equipment devices vendors and their catalog of products.
  • Research initiative with comprehension for medical terminology and equipment
Key Skill Requirements/Accountabilities / Demonstratable Skills
  • Familiarity with medical equipment specifications for mechanical, electrical, data, and plumbing as it relates to relevance of equipment changes/selection.
  • Understands and works to meet project schedule timelines.
  • Working familiarity with Bluebeam.
  • Conducts efficient and effective medical equipment review meetings.
  • Knowledge of basic and intermediate medical equipment and its' application within healthcare facilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to collect, organize and analyze data with strong attention to detail.
  • Possess strong organization and multitasking skills.
  • Computer proficiency required including spreadsheets and database.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify coordination issues.
  • Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications
  • Qualified candidates Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, or supply chain related field preferred.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Highly organized, task driven, and able to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail is required, as are excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Project Experience
  • It is preferred that the candidate has had exposure to healthcare projects working as part of a medical equipment, supply chain or clinical procurement team.
