Medica is a non-profit health insurance company headquartered in Minnetonka with offices in Madison and Omaha. The company is active across the heart of America and provides healthcare coverage in multiple markets. Medica is engaged in our communities through the charitable grant-making work of the Medica Foundation and active employee giving and volunteer programs. Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch-and-Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. We strive to offer a well-rounded education of the inner workings of a health plan. Department Introduction: The RFP Content Writer, Proofreader and Editor Intern is responsible for working collaboratively to expertly develop and write strong proposals that positively reflect our business and our solutions. In this internship, you will work closely with our team of proposal writers, specialists, sales personnel and other Commercial representatives or subject matter experts (SMEs) to both write and update information about our company products and services. You will also be responsible for creating, updating and editing proposal responses used with RFPs and RFIs, and may also be asked to contribute to projects that support other team or department initiatives to optimize use of our Loopio proposal database. Skills and Abilities:
This position is a hub-based role which requires onsite presence. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must reside within a commuting distance to one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI. Onsite frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership and may be up to 2-3 days a week.
