Milliman's Milwaukee-based Property and Casualty practice is one of the leading experts in P&C insurance matters. We are leading experts in evaluating mortgage collateral for government agencies, mortgage lenders, insurers, reinsurers, and investors. Our consulting work is supported by a powerful toolkit of data analytics solutions informed by years of in-depth work in the mortgage industry.

The Opportunity

Milliman's mortgage group provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product to model mortgage performance and securitization structures. M-PIRe is a cloud-based software that models risk data used by mortgage reinsurers. The Program Manager role is responsible for overseeing the development team, aligning resources, prioritizing platform development, and implementing Agile methodologies to drive additional throughput and value for our clients. The Program Manager role may expand to cover additional software products developed by Milliman.

This role will be well-suited to a big picture thinker who has demonstrated experience in program management and has a proven track record of guiding and coordinating cross-functional teams. As a proxy between business leaders and the development team, you'll leverage your exceptional communication skills to discern what information is needed to enable decision-making, decompose and prioritize tasks for every sprint, ensure excellence in delivery and alignment with business objectives and client needs.

Responsibilities include:



  • Program Leadership and Strategy:

    • Provide strategic direction and leadership for multiple projects within the SaaS program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Drive the development and implementation of program strategies to optimize platform development and client value.
    • Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across teams.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and opportunities.


  • Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Oversee the coordination of software development, data science, and PowerBI teams to optimize resource allocation and project prioritization.
    • Analyze current workflows and processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and implementing changes to drive team productivity.
    • Implement best practices in Agile methodologies and program management, tailored to a SaaS environment.
    • Lead the team's use of Microsoft DevOps; implement best practices.
    • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Remove impediments that hinder the team's progress and shield the team from external interruptions.




What We Are Looking For

Professional Qualifications:



  • 15+ years of directly relevant experience in SaaS program management using and/or implementing Agile methodologies.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives in a SaaS environment.
  • Expertise in Microsoft DevOps or similar tools, and familiarity with cloud-based SaaS products.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred (Not Required):



  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, C#, HTML, and Microsoft PowerBI


Location
This role is based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $122,000 - $248,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
