Description and Requirements

Lenovo's IDG (Intelligent Devices Group) global Commercial Marketing team is seeking a product marketing leader for delivering strategic product marketing for key parts of our portfolio including ThinkSmart, ThinkShield, ThinkVision and ThinkEdge.

The Director of Product Marketing, Innovation Solutions, is an effective communicator, has demonstrated the ability to earn the trust of stakeholders, is data-driven, and has experience managing complex business challenges. They are customer-obsessed and know how to drive a differentiated product marketing strategy optimized towards innovative portfolios that don't necessarily utilize traditional device GTM m. This person is willing to experiment, learn, and iterate to improve.

This role will be required to help deliver a multi-year strategy that better defines how we transform our product marketing strategy to better meet the needs of our customers while maintaining a high level of integration with the geo marketing organizations, segment team, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, define, and drive the product marketing strategy and long-term marketing goals for innovative offerings including ThinkSmart, ThinkReality and ThinkShield

  • Own the Go-To Market (GTM) plan to deliver results that ensure customer and business goals are met in operational launch plans. Assess and make trade-offs based on customer requirements

  • Use voice-of-the customer mechanisms to glean customer needs that can be uniquely met by Lenovo's Next Wave Offerings

  • Lead interaction with cross-functional teams, including working closely with engineering, product management, operations, finance, and executive leadership. Ensure key information cascades consistently and smoothly across stakeholder organizations.

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team by overseeing recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and employee development. Foster a positive and motivating work environment, set clear goals, and provide guidance to drive success. Ensure team alignment with business objectives while supporting growth, engagement, and retention.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years' experience defining and driving strategic product marketing plans and repeatable and scalable solutions, preferably in the technology sector, with a focus on customer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of technology trends and marketing best practices in the technology sector

  • This role involves developing and implementing strategies to enhance team effectiveness, drive business result, and align team goals with the organization's objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to define, build and optimize the go-to-market process that scales across portfolios

  • Demonstrated strong partnership skills with a history of collaborating across organizational boundaries, working with, and influencing others, and creating clarity from confusion.

  • Able to creatively address challenges where multiple stakeholders will have varying and potentially conflicting priorities.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing across multiple shifting priorities.

  • Able to drive comprehensive annual plans, and a multi-year view of product market strategy to tactical execution

  • Analyze external and internal data to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation skills

  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and recommendations
