The Maryland Transportation Authority owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes, across the State of Maryland. Nature of Work: The E-ZPass Quality Assurance Specialist plans, coordinates, and conducts the quality assurance testing, evaluation, and reporting for the MDTA E-ZPass Program. The incumbent in this position ensures compliance, standardization of training, policy adherence and revenue protection during the procurement, operations and maintenance phases of the tolling system, facilities, and equipment life cycles. Specific duties for the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Ensures training material is accurate and consistent with policy requirements for MDTA and customer service contractor, and technical support personnel;
- Develops test criteria based on technical evaluations and performance history;
- Prepares and conducts scheduled audits, failure analysis, and quality inspections to evaluate and enforce technical and performance specifications; and
- Develops MDTA policies and ensures adherence to federal, state and MDTA guidelines as they relate to the operations of the MDTA and the goals and objectives of the E-ZPass Quality Assurance and Compliance Unit.
The employee in this position will receive direct supervision from the Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience: Five years of experience in administrative or professional work. **One year of this experience must have included planning and managing quality assurance tests related to revenue collection. **This statement contains a SELECTIVE QUALIFICATION, which is more focused in scope than the Minimum Qualifications for this classification. Selective Qualifications are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities). No substitutions are allowed for a Selective Qualification. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerBI
