This is an onsite position. The position requires the individual to be onsite at our Corporate office located in Reston VA 5 days/week- we will not consider candidates that do not reside in commuting distance.

Description:

The senior business analyst must have at least 5 years of experience and have strong written and verbal communication skills that translate well into requirements baselines that both technical experts and business owners can understand. The business anlayst must have proven ability to provide detailed, comprehensive, testable and traceable process components in a number of formats including, but not limited to Business Requirements, Functional Requirements, Data Requirements, System Software Specifications, Use Cases, etc. Experience with related tools (e.g., GitHub, Jira) and MS Office suite is expected

Essential Functions & Duties:

  • Holding requirement sessions with customers
  • Document requirements in the form of FRDs and mockups
  • Obtain clarifications on requirements
  • Holding UAT sessions with customers
  • Performing unit and system testing as needed
  • Document test cases, test results
  • Create and present analysis of alternative documents to obtain customer buy-in

Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:

  • Interactions with clients
  • Understanding application needs, understanding business domain
  • Ability to interact with customers as well as developers
  • Ability to create project deliverables and work products (FRD, screen mockup, test script, test result, business needs document, etc.)
  • Present ideas to team and customer
  • Out-of-the-box, creative thinking to come up with scenarios that the customers and/or team members haven't thought about

Required experience:

  • GitHub (Required)
  • Expert knowledge MS Office suite (Required)

Citizenship or Work Authorization Required: US Citizen. Ability to obtain Public Trust

Preferred Education & Experience: 6 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a MBA or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $65,000 - $95,000.

Essential Job Function Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of this position are critical in evaluating the qualifications and abilities of an applicant or employee. The physical efforts needed to perform the essential duties of this job 90% of the time are repetitive motions, grasping, holding, and finger dexterity of the hands, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, color distinction, and full visual abilities, hearing, talking, sitting, and use of IT equipment, phones, and office machines.
