Assist with Supervising, managing, and coordinating the activities of production for all purchased goods in retail stores.

Essential Functions:



* Provides assistance with monitoring and managing the performance of the new goods program

* Create and maintain positive relationship with vendors

* Maintain the integrity of the program by reporting accurate inventory numbers to include shrink.

* On a routine basis, assist the New Goods Manager with reviewing and evaluating sales trends and identifying opportunities to move certain products based on customer demand

* Ability to travel as needed for the purpose of sourcing new vendors and/or products

* Ensures department goals/objectives are met while maintaining approved budgets

* Research and recognize current trends, opportunities, and competition to properly categorize merchandise and market new goods products

* Ability to design, layout, and merchandise product to ensure appropriate sales in conjunction with industry trends

* Support with managing and monitoring the performance of all new goods employees

* Ensure profit margins are at acceptable levels to ensure profitability of the agency

* Create and maintain customer loyalty by offering excellent service

* Track and report new goods sales and sales trends

* Partner with the IT department to ensure new goods technology are operating effectively

* Meet with leadership regularly to discuss opportunities for improvement

* Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement through International Standards Organization (ISO) process

* Other duties as assigned






Job Requirements and Qualifications:




  • Demonstrate sound judgment and a high degree of personal/professional integrity
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills
  • Must be able to interact effectively with employees and all levels of management
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized and a strong aptitude to follow tasks through to completion
  • Excellent active listening and time management skills
  • Maintain dependable transportation and communication devices
  • Proficiency with software, including MS Office Suite




Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:




  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, bend, reach and grasp, tolerate environmental issues such as dust, heat and cold, as well as meet all physical requirements to perform the duties
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
