The Jr. Supply Chain Planner Intern will play a key role in enhancing forecasting accuracy and supply chain efficiency through data-driven analysis and system optimization. This role will focus on implementing analytical methods and utilizing forecasting tools to improve supply chain processes.



Responsibilities

    This role will be focused on using and implementing analytical methods through software to understand, improve and monitor our forecasting system and processes
  • Additional data related problems are continuously arising; additional opportunities will be available based on experience/skill level
  • This work ensures the most accurate forecasts are being used to impact multiple facets of our supply chain planning
  • Prepare and manipulate structured and unstructured data for data discovery and mining from multiple resources
  • Build high-end analytical models, utilizing supervised and unsupervised learning models, to support decision makers with data driven insights that address immediate business problems and objectives
  • Create informative visualizations that intuitively display large amounts of data and/or complex relationships
  • Translate data analytics into coherent reports and presentations for internal and external customer with varying degrees of technical knowledge


Qualifications

  • Pro-active problem solver with a passion for data and analytics who continually tries to understand root causes of issues
  • Quick learner through formal and self-guided education
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as individually
  • Courage to challenge the status quo and take smart risks when necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across multiple departments
  • Knowledge of forecasting tools
  • Demonstrated experience with Access, Python, or SQL
