Inside the Role

We are seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our Cleveland Truck Manufacturing Plant. As a Millwright-Journeyman, you will play a role in ensuring the highest standards of quality performance are maintained within our maintenance department. Additionally, you will perform mechanical maintenance orders as needed, use welding equipment to join various types of assemblies and metals and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Skilled Trades position offers a top pay of $43.64/hr.

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What you Drive at DTNA:

Performs stick, MIG and TIG welding and burning operations.

Fabricates machine and equipment parts using burning and welding operations, as well as with equipment such as shears, punch presses, press brakes, benders, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, lathe, etc. Install motors, machinery and equipment according to layouts, blueprints and drawings.

Runs threaded piping systems, 2" and smaller in pipe size.

Performs mechanical maintenance from shop work orders, preventive work orders (PM's), as well as from written, drawn and verbal instructions. Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies, as well as cuts materials to size and shape.

Uses welding equipment to join various types of assemblies and metals.

Uses fabrication equipment to cut and form metal pieces to required dimensions. Safely and successfully installs equipment and machinery using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools, lasers, squares, levels, rulers, micrometers, etc.

Runs various types of threaded piping systems of air, gas, steam, condensate, process, etc.

Operates mills, grinders, lathes, drill presses, broaches, etc.

Repairs and lubricates equipment and machinery.

Performs other duties as required.

Perform equipment rigging, alignment and vibration verifications.

Knowledge You Should Bring

Eight (8) years millwrighting experience in an industrial facility working on mechanical equipment and machinery.

Must safely and successfully use burning and cutting equipment.

Must successfully use stick, MIG and TIG welding equipment to make safe and secure weldments.

Must successfully run threaded pipe.

Must be familiar with the troubleshooting and repairs of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, bearings, belts, gearing, conveyors, furnaces, gearboxes and drives.

Must be capable of successfully operating basic shop machinery such as lathe, milling machine, grinder, etc.

Must be capable to use precision alignment tools

Must be knowledgeable in rigging operation of heavy machinery.

High School Diploma or GED

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

Previous experience in a manufacturing automotive environment.

Associate's degree in related field
