Vice President of Philanthropy

The Vice President of Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in advancing the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless(CCH) mission by leading the organization's fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to strengthen donor relations, expand community partnerships, and secure financial resources to support organizational priorities. As a member of the executive team, the VP of Philanthropy actively participates in strategic planning and decision-making in partnership with CCH's CEO and Board of Directors.

Essential Job Functions

• Develop, implement, and oversee a multi-year fundraising plan focused on increasing revenue from individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners. Coordinate with the CEO and other executive staff on the comprehensive strategy to support CCH's organizational priorities through multiple revenue sources.
• Lead capital growth including endowment and capital campaign, annual giving programs, and planned giving initiatives to support organizational priorities.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with major donors, funders, and partners, ensuring exceptional stewardship and personalized engagement. Manage a portfolio of donor relationships.
• Design and execute recognition programs to honor donors and volunteers and communicate the impact of their contributions.
• Oversee and measure prospect identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, recognition and stewardship practices to expand and diversify CCH's donor base/pipeline.
• Support growth of our volunteer and in-kind giving efforts. Partner with programs across the organization to meet needs and welcome community support and participation in our mission.
• Establish and strengthen partnerships with businesses, civic organizations, and philanthropic groups to enhance community support.
• Represent CCH at community events and in advocacy efforts to promote the organization's mission and programs.
• Manage and support the Philanthropy team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture aligned with CCH values.
• Work in partnership with the CEO with the Board of Directors, providing them with tools and support for fundraising activities.
• Analyze fundraising data to measure progress, identify trends, and refine strategies.
• Present regular updates and performance reports to the executive team and Board of Directors.
• Incorporate data-driven tactics and goals to diversify and strengthen our donor base, include and empower clients and staff as part of our fundraising strategies, and identify and contribute reporting on key metrics related to our fundraising strategies and organizational strategic plan.
• Partner with team members with communication responsibilities to ensure consistent messaging and branding across donor and organization communications.
• Support organizational efforts to advocate for social equity and address systemic barriers impacting homelessness.
• Support organizational strategic plan, priorities, and other duties and projects as assigned.

Education and Work Experience
• Bachelor's degree or five years experience required.
• Minimum of five years of professional fundraising and development experience in a nonprofit setting, including experience with major donors, direct mail, online giving, in-kind giving, capital campaigns, endowments, events, planned giving, and government grants.
• Demonstrated success in securing large-scale gifts and cultivating long-term donor relationships.
