Description and Requirements

As a Corporate Communications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering executive communications, particularly for the CEO. Your responsibilities will include researching and developing key messages, translating executive thoughts into clear communications, and working collaboratively across global teams. You will act as a liaison with PR and product launch teams to ensure message alignment and proactive reputation management. Responsibilities include:

Executive Communications Support

  • Assist in crafting and refining messages for VP- and C- level executives.
  • Conduct subject matter research, collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Prepare regular reports, decks, review speeches, scripts, and presentations.

Message Development & Collaboration

  • Translate complex executive messages into clear and impactful communications.
  • Ensure messages are compelling and aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Partner with Business Groups (BGs), Lenovo Research, Global Supply Chain (GSC), and other relevant teams to develop and refine message modules.

PR & Product Launch Coordination

  • Work closely with PR and product launch teams to align messaging strategies and enhance reputation management efforts.
  • Own and manage workstream and deliverables.
  • Support process improvement to drive decision making.

AI Insights

  • Gather and analyze internal examples of AI usage to aid in the rapid development of relevant messages.
  • Provide data-driven insights to drive strategy.
  • Stay up to date on the latest development of AI at Lenovo and partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
  • 5 years of Experience in Agency or In-house Corporate PR in technology or related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Political Science, Public Relations, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting VP- and C- level communications.
  • 5-7 years of Experience in Agency or In-house Corporate PR.
  • Experience in high-tech or computing industries desired.
  • Demonstrated success working in complex global environments.
  • Cultural Competency working across Chinese, American, European, and South American, and cultural contexts, ensuring messages are communicated with clarity and tact.
  • Diplomacy to enforce communications policies and procedures, providing constructive pushback when necessary to ensure compliance and uphold organizational standards.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple time zones to communicate needs effectively.
  • Demonstrated use of discretion when handling confidential details or sensitive topics.
  • Strong written and spoken presence.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Strong interest in AI, computing and broader technology topics a plus.

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $80-108k. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission. The role can be based at Lenovo's offices on the East Coast of the US (Morrisville, NC, Chicago, IL, Washington, DC).
