Job Summary

The Senior Supervisor oversees custodial operations, ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include supervising senior custodians and staff, conducting quality control inspections, managing building assignments, and scheduling shifts. They also handle timesheet approvals, time management, and serve as the liaison between the COR and ServiceSource when the Project Manager is unavailable. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining facility standards and efficient operations.

Primary Duties

  • Supervise and manage custodial staff, including Senior Custodians, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training.

  • Coordinate building assignments, work schedules, and ensure timely completion of janitorial and floor care services.

  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely restocking and proper usage.

  • Conduct quality inspections, uphold facility standards, and address employee concerns, escalating issues to the Project Manager as needed.

  • Perform administrative duties such as completing performance reviews, maintaining records, and managing facility access.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs custodial duties as assigned.

  • Respond to emergencies and safety concerns promptly and effectively.

  • Must be able to properly work all machinery and equipment.

  • Must work to ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed.

  • Perform transportation duties as assigned.

  • Participate in meetings and training sessions.

  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Education, Experience and Certification(s)

  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in custodial services.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in custodial services and supervising 30+ personnel

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance

  • CPR Certified (Must be renewed every two (2) years

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle background check.

  • High School diploma required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of CIMS Certification (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of Bloodborne Pathogens

  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing

  • Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Teams

  • Skilled at floor care services, machinery and chemicals.

  • Knowledge of proper hazardous chemical disposal
