Mirion Technologies Secure Integrated Solutions (SIS) is seeking a junior level System Administrator or Systems Engineer with a basic understanding of Cybersecurity principles, mitigating controls, and Patch Management to drive the execution of project-based design/build efforts. The position requires a hands-on, daily interaction with a growing team of intermediate to experienced engineers delivering COTS solutions to nuclear and other complex and critical infrastructures. The individual will work primarily with the Secure Integrated Solutions (SIS) Division product managers, program managers, and engineering leads across multiple levels and disciplines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & CORE FUNCTIONS



  • Reliable, agile, and innovative individual with consistent focus on execution of process or procedures.
  • Assist with hardware installation including rack and stack of server, workstation, and network devices.
  • Work with Windows Workstations and servers, virtualization, storage systems, Linux and security appliances network switches, firewalls, etc. in an Active Directory environment to standup, configure, and deliver small (20-30 server/workstations) environments.
  • Perform server and network deployment and management through the entire product delivery lifecycle while working with the Software and Hardware Engineering teams to execute deliverables and validate product feature sets.
  • Applies an analytical and detail-oriented approach with problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, resolve and document issues.
  • Perform patching of windows devices and COTS applications to support system wide vulnerability management.
  • Changes/Updates to Server Configurations maintaining a high level of Configuration Management.
  • Perform basic system hardening.
  • Documentation review and update.
  • Collaborate with peers for knowledge management, information sharing, and consistency of engineering processes and solutions across the organization.
  • Execution of tasks on active projects and communication of task related status and challenges.
  • Other duties as required.



KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS



  • Required

    • Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline or 2 to 3 years' relative experience.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
    • Detail oriented attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of computing technologies and current operating systems.
    • Requires US citizenship or permanent residence (green card).


  • Preferred

    • Experience in project-based work.
    • Basic Networking protocols.
    • Powershell Scripting.
    • VMware Vsphere clusters.
    • Security+, Network+ or equivalent.
