Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Fort Payne, AL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Provide inspection services both in-process and at final to drawing, specification, or standard operating procedure within the client's Electrical Components Plant, applying NDE (Nondestructive Examination) techniques such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT).
  • Prepare detailed documentation of all findings and results via electronic systems.
  • Provide a variety of non-destructive testing techniques on Large Generator Components.
  • Evaluate critically to-quality (CTQ) dimensional measurements and parameters using standard and special gauging.
  • Perform NDE inspections to specification or drawing requirements.
  • Document detailed findings via the appropriate electronic information system.
  • Communicate findings and concerns in verbal and written form (for example, written reports or diagrams).
  • Create and update Standard Operation Procedures and Quality Instructions formats independently or in collaboration with quality and manufacturing engineers.
  • Validate for accuracy and upload NDE reports on time.
  • Train QA Technicians on VT, UT, PT, and PAUT requirements to certify and recertify as level II.
  • Work with level III on new development and applications for the changing environment in NDE Technology.
  • Train and master new NDE Technology and techniques to support the business.
  • Deal with NDT (Non-destructive Testing) support equipment, maintenance, and supplies.
  • Calibrate UT equipment.
  • Analyze the working environment and propose/implement improvements.
  • Participates and takes initiative in implementing preventive and corrective actions, participating in root cause analysis and problem-solving methods.
  • Work safely and report any safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Meet the company Level II certification requirements in the specific NDE method through testing and passing the specific, general, and practical exams.
  • Provide objective evidence of hours and level II certification letter or documentation.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $34.28/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week (1st Shift).

Length: Temp (13 Months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of NDE experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with gauging, drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with the metric system for measurement.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Must be level II certified in UT.
  • Experience with Boroscoping techniques and Level II in PT, VT, and PAUT.
  • Must be able to maintain their level II status.
  • SAP knowledge.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.

  • Necessary to work overtime and weekends.
  • Must be willing to change shifts for training or production needs temporarily.
  • May be necessary to travel occasionally in this position.
