DaVita SNF Dialysis (DSD) is seeking a National Vice President of Operations. This newly created role will act as the COO for this Strategic Business Initiative. This is a remote role with up to 35% travel across the US.

DaVita SNF Dialysis (DSD) is a unique opportunity do good and do well.We are leading the expansion of a new, but proven, business model transforming how life sustaining care is delivered to one of the most vulnerable patient populations which is reaching only a small fraction of the patient population in need.

DSD coordinates with local nephrologists and health systems to partner with Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to bring DaVita's industry leading kidney care to patients at their SNF residence.DSD is a new and growing service line that seeks to set the gold standard for care in this evolving care innovation.On-site dialysis eliminates the costly and potentially dangerous process of transporting patients off-site 3 times a week for dialysis care which directly improves patient experience and quality of life and has the potential to improve clinical outcomes while reducing the total cost - a true triple aim solution.DSD is transforming how life sustaining care is delivered to the most vulnerable of dialysis patients and we are seeking a dynamic business development leader to help bring our life improving solution to more patients and partners.

Position Overview

The National Vice President of Operations will collaborate with General Manager (SVP) in setting and driving DSD's organizational vision and operations strategy and directly responsible for overseeing and leading operational execution of DSD's field operations and other assigned support teammates in achieving DSD's growth, financial, and clinical goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following reflects general roles and responsibilities but are not meant to be comprehensive:

  • Operations execution: This person will lead the DaVita SNF Dialysis (DSD) operations team in achieving growth, financial, and clinical outcome goals via operational rigor and execution.
  • P&L Ownership: Full P&L accountability ~$70m annual revenue
  • Talent: Recruit, hire, develop, and retain talent capable of meeting DSD's current and future needs and adhering to DaVita cultural and performance standards. DSD currently has ~400 teammates.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Will support communication, collaboration, and engagement of key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operations strategy: Develop, refine, and adjust DSD's operational execution strategy and development and/or implementation of BDPs, tools, resources or other innovations to support DSD achieving key performance measures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree in business administration, health administration, or related area strongly preferred
  • 10+ Years of experience in multi-site healthcare delivery operations or similar (required)
  • 5+ Years dialysis operations executive leadership experience (highly preferred)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an acute ability to listen attentively and to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization:
    • Professional demeanor and ability to interact at executive level with persuasiveness and confidence
    • Demonstrated relationship-building skills and ability to be "other-oriented"; ability to appreciate people with different backgrounds and points of view
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial openness and ability to explore new possibilities and to approach issues differently; a visionary; intellectually agile.
  • Demonstrated business acumen; able to assess financial implications of decisions and actions; able to understand how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace and impact DaVita. Demonstrated ability to bring innovative thinking to the operations and management of DSD operations.

Salary/ Wage Range

$236,000.00-$358,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
