The Plant HS&E Manager is primarily responsible for promoting the safety culture and leading all the safety and environmental programs for the Ames plant while also providing support to the Avon and Montreal plants. Key Responsibilities Safety * Lead the plant safety committee bi-monthly meetings and follow up activities Environmental * Conduct internal environmental audits * Follows ISO22000 policies and procedures, address / communicate quality and food safety issues as they occur. * Required to actively participate on the Food Defence Team and abide by the Food Defence Model Additional Information * A Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or related field or equivalent level of experience and a minimum of 5 years of safety and environmental experience at a plant facility. * This position will spend 50% of time climate controlled offices and 50% of time on the production floor. This entails working in an environment of temperatures up to and exceeding 130 F, high humidity and 85-94 dB noise levels. Employee Benefits
