About the Job

Position Summary:
The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in SME. The instructor will prepare course materials, deliver instruction, assess student performance, and foster an engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach course content based on the syllabus, and ensure it aligns with institutional standards.
  • Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and provide instruction through various formats (in-person, online, hybrid, etc.).
  • Assess student learning through assignments, quizzes, exams, and projects.
  • Maintain regular office hours to assist students with course material and provide academic guidance.
  • Provide timely feedback on student work and maintain accurate grade records.
  • Participate in department meetings and professional development activities, as required.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional policies and procedures.
Qualifications

  • A Master's degree or higher (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Previous teaching experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage students and foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Commitment to supporting diverse student populations.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: This position is paid at $3,200 per credit with the total payment dependent on the number of credits assigned to the instructor. Course assignments will be made depending on education/qualifications/experience.
