DESCRIPTION
POSITION OVERVIEW The Director of Computer Technology will report to the Dean of Computers, Robotics, Engineering, Automotive & Manufacturing. Directors of Academic Programs provide administration to multiple programs with a total enrollment of less than 250 students. Directors ensure quality and integrity of the curriculum offered and provide strong leadership and direction to faculty and staff.Directors manage faculty and budgets for their departments. Directors, administer the budgets of all academic departments and facilities within their purview, manage the schedules, supervise, and evaluates faculty members in assigned programs in addition to providing support, coaching, and guidance to faculty members.The Director ensures the compliance of college academic policy and priorities within their departments, as well as the standards for the quality of the teaching and learning environment. The Director leads the hiring process within their departments for new faculty and executes enrollment and retention strategies. Direct reports to the Director could include faculty, coordinators, assistants, and other related staff. Directors initiate the teaching and learning process with a focus on continuous improvement.Directors create an environment in which students can accomplish the learning objectives of the course of instruction.Directors supervise the design and development of new curriculum. Directors are required to teach between 1 and 3 courses per term at the Deans discretion. SPECIFIC POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
