Department 10137 Adolescent Medicine ProPay Range $100,000.00 - $300,000.00 The Psychologist is responsible for the care of patients in the hospital and clinics, as well as research, educational and advocacy initiatives as determined by the Division and/or Center leadership. Minimum EducationDoctorate in Psychology (PsyD) PhD in Developmental or Clinical Psychology or PsyD (Required) Minimum Work Experience 0 years Successful completion of postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology. (Required) And 3 years Experience as member of a multidisciplinary team and working with parents across ethnic boundaries. Experience in a pediatric academic setting. Evidence of participation in collaborative research within the realm of early childhood. Interest in teaching/supervision. (Preferred) Required Skills/Knowledge Knowledge of current principles, methods and interventions for the delivery of psychological services including diagnosis and treatment in the area of expertise. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of psychological care. Ability to function independently in evaluating patient problems and developing a plan for patient care. Ability to incorporate ethical concepts into patient care and discuss these with the patient, family, and other members of the health care team. Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise. Ability to maintain quality and safety standards. Demonstrates a personal commitment to Continuing Education and remains current on the developments and progress in his/her subspecialty. Demonstrates knowledge of and complies with legal and ethical standards for the delivery of psychological care. Required Licenses and Certifications Psychologist Licensed in VA, MD, or DC to start, with expectation of eventual licensure in all 3 jurisdictions. The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications.
