Responsibilities

Arcfield is growing and seeking a Systems Engineer to support Life Cycle Readiness Management within their customer's COMM Directorate. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to support systems engineering activities that plan and ensure a systematic and coordinated review and assessment of engineering and acquisition activities to meet the criteria required to successfully complete specified readiness milestones. (Please note, an offer for this position will be contingent on an awarded contract.)

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the facilitation of reviews to determine the engineering readiness to proceed to the next phase of an
  • Supporting the facilitation of reviews to determine the engineering readiness to proceed to the next phase of an acquisition/readiness milestone
  • Supporting the systematic and coordinated review and assessment of engineering and acquisition activities to meet the criteria required to successfully complete specified readiness milestones
  • Supporting readiness reviews that assess a program's readiness to proceed to the next phase of the acquisition lifecycle
  • Supporting/facilitating design reviews, trade studies, Technical Exchange Meeting (TEMs), PMRs, shoulder-to-shoulder discussions, architecture reviews, and readiness and programmatic activities in support of Enterprise-level, COMM-Level, System-level, Service-level and project-level milestones
  • Supporting Readiness Review Teams constituted to assess Service Provider and Program Office programs and acquisitions technical and programmatic readiness
  • Facilitating system artifact review activities, comments, and Review Item Discrepancy (RID) resolutions
  • Updating and maintaining the COMM Life-cycle Readiness Management Plan Supporting efforts to ensure requirements comply with client expectations and government standards through formal verification methods

Qualifications

BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7

Qualifications Required:

The ideal candidate must have:

  • An Active Top Secret / SCI w/Poly Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Excellent customer intimacy skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams as well as to interface effectively with personnel at all levels of government
  • A commitment to quality, accuracy, continuous improvement, and be detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple tasks concurrently
  • Good communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated judgment, initiative, and critical thinking to execute mission objectives
  • The ability to travel as necessary to satisfy assigned tasks
  • Be comfortable and flexible with executing additional duties as assigned

Desired:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Experience supporting the NRO
