Security Police Officer - Union - Swing

As the CAS Operator, here's the work you'll do:

• Monitors all security alarms, cameras, alarm systems and security computers.
• Determines level of alarm response and dispatch patrols providing information for responders.
• Maintains a logging system of information of security events, violations and reports.
• Maintains accountability of all equipment in the CAS.
• Provides customer service for facility personnel.
• Processes and dispatches unscheduled security alarms, process malfunctioning and nuisance alarms.

• Knowledge of DOE Orders, State and Federal Laws, SNL/CA and SOC policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of patrol requirements.
• Knowledge of general terminology and philosophies used by emergency medical or police dispatchers; security and fire alarm systems and radio equipment used at government facilities, to include components and functions; trunk radio system configuration and programming; clear text and forward calling philosophies, use of phonetic alphabet.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail as well as confidentiality.
• Intermediate-level computer skills that include all the Microsoft Office Suite of software.

• High School Diploma required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Preferred 2 yearsexperience in a Protective Force or similar security position.
• Certifications: CAS Site-Specific Training and Certification, DOE On-the-Job training, Licenses/ Registrations: Valid US Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" clearance authorization; must be 21 years of age
