About the Role:
Join our team as a Warehouse Control Systems Technician and help shape the future of our warehouse operations! You will support the design, implementation, and enhancement of advanced warehouse control systems, including Conveyor, Print and Apply, Opex, and Modula. Your main responsibilities will include designing and testing conveyor systems, providing PLC support, and troubleshooting across all Americas time zones. You will offer valuable feedback on design plans, oversee vendor activities during projects, and collaborate with them to explore new technologies and automation. Your problem-solving skills will be essential as you address various LC needs using data and user feedback. Design review and support for new projects Support for project testing and implementation as well as hypercare support Review Teams chat for support needs as well as on call support for all LC's PLC/Conveyor related needs. Creating documentation on conveyor related processes and training to that documentation. Partnership with Maintenance team in support of conveyor improvements Reviews data/performance metrics and provides recommendations to increase efficiency for existing conveyor as well as future enhancements.
What We're Looking For:
>1 to 3 Years of relevant work experience Technical Education in PLC Programming, Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 (Ladder Logic) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering, PLC Programming Effective Communication: Ability to convey information clearly and engage in meaningful conversations in English and other local/regional languages. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and efficiency in recognizing and addressing important details. Organizational Excellence: Exceptional organizational and time management skills, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Adaptability: Quick to adjust to change and thrive in dynamic environments, maintaining composure under pressure. Relationship Building: Proven ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships across all levels of management and diverse teams. Negotiation and Persuasion: Skilled in negotiating and promoting ideas persuasively to influence outcomes. Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information in all business activities. Technical Proficiency: Intermediate knowledge of relevant computer systems and applications, with a strong ability to quickly learn new technologies. Multi-tasking Ability: Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while staying organized and focused. Independence: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Safety Awareness: Willingness to comply with safety protocols, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and transport up to 40 lbs. Data Entry Skills: Strong data entry capabilities with a keen eye for detail. Problem-Solving: Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues using observation and user feedback.
Working Conditions:
Distribution center environment may include (but not limited to): exposure to extreme temperatures; high noise levels; high places; wet and/or humid conditions; outside weather conditions. Consistent non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires. On-call availability required as necessary. May be required to work in shifts (timing subject to business needs.) Remote / Work-from-home. Local (in-country) travel required. Frequent Travel Required (25%).
