About The Position The Engineer is responsible for performing design, engineering design studies, maintenance and project management activities for existing/new transmission lines above 100kV. This position requires handling multiple projects and assignments simultaneously. Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university required. Civil Engineering preferred. New grads will be considered. Prior experience in Transmission Line Design engineering preferred. EIT certification or commitment to actively pursue one in Illinois and/or Missouri required. Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or commitment to actively pursue one in Illinois and/or Missouri required. * Technical career path level depends on candidates credentials. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Good analytical, project management, multitasking, scheduling, communications, human relations, decision making and competent computer skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to keep abreast of current design standards and new technologies. Experienced engineers must have working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC). Additional Information Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. #LI-Hybrid Compensation Range: $69,300.00 - $168,000.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
