Job Overview

The Senior, CRM Solutions & Technology serves as a vital link between business users, technology teams, and other stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for developing robust solutions. Focused on quick resolution, root cause analysis, and process improvement, this role requires a detail-oriented approach to accurately capture and translate data requirements for both tactical and analytical needs. The Senior, CRM Solutions & Technology also validates and verifies working solutions to ensure effectiveness.

What You Will Do



  • Participate in end-to-end marketing system solutions, including requirement gathering, planning, solution design, development, execution, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges and define solution requirements.
  • Translate high-level business needs into actionable, achievable solutions.
  • Clearly document both business and technical requirements.
  • Ensure developed solutions meet all business requirements.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to assess feasibility, identify limitations, and highlight key considerations.
  • Identify opportunities for scalability, automation, and process improvement.
  • Provide guidance on data conversion, mapping decisions, and data integrity.
  • Develop effective data visualization solutions to address business questions.
  • Understand and document data elements, constraints, flows, and sources supporting the business domain.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as Source-to-Target Mapping, data dictionaries, data lineage, and other supporting artifacts.
  • Perform detailed data validation to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on macys.com business processes, data, marketing ecosystem, and external data sources.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and issues to management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to identify key trends and patterns.
  • Demonstrate expertise in CRM platforms such as Oracle and Adobe.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external business partners, marketing analysts, IT developers, project and product managers, and all levels of the business community.
  • Support day-to-day data and analytics challenges, including:

    • Researching and resolving data and system issues.
    • Prioritizing issue resolution and identifying data quality problems.
    • Interpreting complex physical and logical data models.
    • Conducting testing, validation, and user acceptance testing.
    • Delivering end-user training and support.

  • In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.



Skills You Will Need

SQL & Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages (Shell, AWK, SED) for data manipulation.

ETL & Data Processing: Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi) and data warehouses (Oracle, Hadoop, Snowflake, DB2).

CRM & Marketing Platforms: Strong knowledge of Oracle Responsys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, and Braze.

Analytics & Reporting: Experience with Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, and customer segmentation techniques.

Data Integration & APIs: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, MuleSoft, and Postman for system connectivity.

Cloud & Big Data: Exposure to AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue), Google BigQuery, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Root Cause Analysis & Data Quality: Ability to investigate data discrepancies, optimize customer journeys, and ensure data integrity.

Marketing & Customer Insights: Understanding of campaign execution, segmentation, A/B testing, and cross-channel analytics.

Data Governance & Compliance: Experience with GDPR, CCPA, and secure handling of PII data.

Stakeholder Management: Effectively collaborates with marketing, IT, developers, vendors, and product managers.

Data Storytelling & Visualization: Ability to translate data insights into clear, actionable business recommendations.

Project Management & Documentation: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Agile methodologies, and maintaining data dictionaries.

Problem-Solving & Automation: Identifies opportunities for scalability, automation, and process improvement.

Self-Starter & Adaptability: Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
