The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor performs material supervision activities including maintaining inventory accuracy of raw material, incoming receipts, finished goods and work orders.
What You'll Work On
* Select, manage, train, and develop staff. Establish objectives and assignments and provide ongoing feedback through performance reviews and development plans.
* Ensure staff is trained and following procedures
* Perform all personnel related functions related to inventory control, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
* Serve as Subject Matter Expert in inventory control, shipping and receiving for audits
* Enter daily cycle counting into MRP system and report monthly cycle count status
* Sterilization: maintain segregation, of pre- and post-sterile goods, build sterile lots, ship and receive them back into system. Coordinate shipments with sterilization supplier including scheduling and freight
* Process weekly shipment reports
* Allocate resources as appropriate to assure daily workload is efficiently completed
* Maintain housekeeping and labeling to assure the area is audit ready at all times
* Work with shipping and receiving staff to:
- Open and close work orders on sub-assemblies and FG products
- Maintain accurate logs and files for receipts, lot control, and daily shipments
- Process domestic and or international shipments consisting of pulling the order, entering into computer system, and scheduling carrier pick up
- Cross train all staff members
- Issue materials to production floor and maintain material traceability
- Coordinate shipments to the sterilizer with freight carrier
- Perform Receiving as needed for processing receipts
- Work closely with Customer Service to ensure that all sales orders and trunk stock requests are processed, delivered and transacted in a timely manner
- Verify all sales orders for correct part number, quantity, lot number, address and method of shipment
* Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
* Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
* Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
* Perform other work-related duties as assigned
What You Contribute
* High School or GED with 5+ years of supervision in shipping/receiving, stores and inventory control experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Preference given to candidates with medical device experience
* Leadership experience
* Computer experience and knowledge of GMP helpful
Working Conditions
Shipping/Receiving and Stores Warehouse. Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms, and to use a computer, sitting for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Annual Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 / year
