Summary:


The position holder will have the responsibility of Managing key strategic MPD projects in the US that are focused on driving efficiency improvements aligned with the business unit strategy.

Duties and responsibilities are (including but not limited to):



  • Manage key projects that lead to becoming world class, resulting in operational efficiency improvement, and strengthening our position in the global market.


  • Manage and support the MUs investment projects in North America that will drive SKF Aero BU forward to meet the growing and challenging standards for aerospace applications.


  • Provide regular progress reports on activities on going within the North America factories to the MPD leader and the MPD global Aerospace manager


  • To represent the MPD department in a positive and professional manager that reflects SKF's code of conduct.


  • To ensure that relations with Managers, peers and other employees is kept at an amicable standard.


  • Develop project teams in support of any key initiatives being managed by yourself.


  • Ensure an effective timing and action plan is developed and maintained to cover all aspects of the role.


  • To delegate appropriately any duties or actions to other team members when on vacation or absence occurrences


  • To become the expert for simulation activities for the business unit in the US





Requirements:



  • 3+ years of experience in engineering and project management.


  • A bachelors degree, preferably in engineering


  • A Manufacturing engineering and process development background


  • Significant experience in the Aerospace industry


  • Problem solving skills (Black belt or green belt preferred)


  • IT and digitalization skills


  • Microsoft office expertise


  • Experience in automated processes.


  • Willingness to travel on regular occasions (regional facilities)


  • Exceptional team player
