We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Assembler to join our dynamic team in Duluth, GA!

Get hands-on with the latest technology! Viasat is looking for a skilled assembler to build and integrate critical components, from large antennas to smaller systems. • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with the ability to work overtime as the need arises.
• Assemble various components for Viasat, including large antennas, using light equipment and tooling.
• Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team on various tasks.
• Move equipment and materials as needed.
• Integrate assembled components into larger systems.
• Gain extensive training on job procedures, documentation, processes, and proven methodologies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

• 2+ years experience in mechanical assembly is required. (mechanical tools, drills, and impact tools, professional or personal).
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and read fabrication drawings.
• Ability to install bearings, gears, and motors.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work with Bills of Material, Engineering Change Orders.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outside at heights up to 100 feet.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

• Prior experience using Oracle is preferred.
• Ability to operate light machinery.
• Ability to operate forklifts and aerial lift.
• Ability to work on documentation and procedures.
