About the DDM Fellowship Program:

The Dotdash Meredith Fellowship Program runs from June 2025 to May 2026. The program offers candidates the opportunity to gain experience working full-time in the office with some of our most popular brands. Fellows work full-time and earn $18/hr.

About the Team:

Located in Birmingham, Alabama, is the Dotdash Meredith Food Studios, a state-of-the-art facility featuring 28 test kitchens, 13 photo studios, a prop and styling studio, an outdoor grill/BBQ station, and an expansive showcase kitchen and tasting room for demonstrations and events. Powered by a talented team of test kitchen professionals, stylists, and photographers, the Dotdash Meredith Food Studios is the country's premier creative hub, producing thousands of world-class recipes, images, and related content annually for Dotdash Meredith's print, digital, and social platforms.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Assist the food stylists with grocery shopping, recipe prep, and organization of kitchens and workspaces

  • Work with the Test Kitchen Manager and coordinator to shop and the stock the pantries and cold-storage areas in the kitchen

  • Ensure the workstations are stocked with ingredients before recipe preparation

  • Follow your food stylist's lead to prepare recipes for photography

  • File all expense reports for accounting purposes

About You:

Candidates for this role should have:

  • B.S., B.A., Culinary degree or equivalent professional cooking experience

  • Food styling assisting experience preferred

  • You have a thorough knowledge of food and cooking techniques and are inquisitive about food trends

  • You're a spirited self-starter and the first to tackle an obstacle

  • You have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

  • The ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
