RN Educator- Facility Wide Support - Tazwell

This is a Human Resources Education and Organizational Development position primarily located at Tazwell, but may have coverage in the Western Division which consists of NRV, Giles, and Tazewell.

Provide quality education programs, professional development opportunities, and at-the-elbow support for clinical and non-clinical departments.

1. Implement Educational Programs:
? Collaborate in development of educational materials tailored to diverse audiences.
? Implement training and professional development programs for staff.
? Serve as classroom instructor and provide at the elbow support.
2. Assess Educational Needs:
? Assess the educational needs of different populations.
? Customize educational programs based on the specific needs and preferences of the target audience.
3. Ensure Regulatory Compliance:
? Assess and incorporate continuing education requirements and healthcare regulations.
? Keep up-to-date with evidence-based practice to drive education programs.
4. Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals:
? Work closely with key stakeholders to identify educational needs and develop relevant content.
? Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
? Provide mentoring and coaching to support staff development and advancement.
5. Monitor and Evaluate Program Effectiveness:
? Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and outcomes.
? Prepare reports and documentation based on outcomes and impact.
6. Stay Current with Healthcare Trends:
? Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in healthcare, medical research, and educational techniques.
? Integrate new information and best practices into educational programs.

Education: A bachelor's degree is required (e.g., nursing, education, public health). A Master's degree or certification (e.g., Nursing Professional Development - NPD-BC, Certified Health Education Specialist - CHES) is preferred.

Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to simplify complex information, proficiency in using educational technologies and tools, and excellent organizational skills.

Knowledge: Understanding of adult learning principles, health literacy, and current healthcare trends and practices.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field is required. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse populations. * Flexibility to adapt educational materials and approaches to meet varying needs.

Previous experience in health education, patient education, or a related field is required. Experience in developing and delivering educational programs is highly desirable.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: AHA BLS-HCP required. May be required to obtain/maintain additional certifications based on specific work units.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Meets standards on Performance Appraisal, including competency validation as appropriate for the level of care. Demonstrates effective communication and strong organizational skills. Desires to work with new employees. Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required. Strong critical thinking, conflict resolution, organization, and effective judgment abilities are required.
