What is the Opportunity?

  • Execute aspects of the RBC Bank Customer Due Diligence program and standards (i.e., CIP, KYC, CDD, EDD) at the direction of the Senior Manager, Customer Due Diligence or the Director, Payments - Fraud - AML.

  • Assist in the preparation and management of 1LOD CDD elements for oversight testing, internal audits, and regulatory examinations

  • Responsible for Government Demand Notices

  • Responsible for escalating any AML, Economic Sanctions to Senior Manager of RBC Bank Operations AMLL in a timely manner from a US perspective

  • Manage the update and maintenance of applicable RBC Bank AML procedures related to Operations

  • Review prospective high risk clients under the Firm's enhanced due diligence process.

  • Participate in the development, tracking and AML Training to RBC Bank Operations group

  • Participate in the development, maintenance and conduct of the AML Testing Program

  • Assist the Senior Manager of RBC Bank AML with coordinating responses to independent AML related audits and regulatory examinations

  • Partner with manager in performance management, understand expectations and seek access to continuing education and development through both internal (RBC) and extern (i.e. Industry Associations) sources.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience required in Compliance Operations, Project Execution, or equivalent areas

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Financial Services or Financial Services Consulting experience

  • Working knowledge of anti-money laundering related requirements including BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and other applicable U.S. regulations

  • Strong research, writing and analytic skills

  • Ability to impact and influence

  • Strong Analytic Skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior AML Operations or Compliance Experience

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced changing environment effectively managing tight deadlines

  • Self-starter; willingness to take the initiative
