The Finance Clerk performs clerical duties for various departments within our Finance Department. The Clerk ensures departmental processes are performed in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Department Duties



  • Uploads of invoices into vendor portals.
  • Reviews and resubmits rejected invoices into vendor portals.
  • Provides invoice copies to customer when requested.
  • Assists AR Representative with various daily tasks.
  • Maintains detailed notes on completed work to ensure no duplications.



Credit Department Duties



  • Prepares, reviews, and processes credit applications and related documents.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date customer credit files.
  • Assists in verifying customer information, including references and financial data.
  • Inputs customer data into system and assist in generating credit reports.
  • Monitors account limits and alert the Credit Lead of any potential issues.
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding credit terms and account status.
  • Collaborates with sales, finance, and collections teams to resolve credit-related matters.
  • Ensures that all credit processes comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive financial information.
  • Performs general clerical task.



General Finance Department Duties 



  • Performs a variety of complex clerical and entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records, and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience.
  • High School or equivalency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.
  • Comfortable working with e-mail and the Internet.
  • Customer Service backgrounds a plus.
  • Problem-solving.
  • Time management.
