Job Summary: The Area Sales Director (ASD) will focus appropriately on advancing the Oncology (Lymphoma/Solid Tumor) business. The role leads a team of Oncology Business Directors (OBDs), who in turn lead teams consisting of Oncology Hematology Specialists. These teams are dedicated to success within the hematology/oncology community, they maximize business opportunities, and they work collaboratively with other key functions. Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):
- Provide guidance to the OBDs and OHS's on the marketing, allocating, monitoring, and leveraging of internal/external resources (e.g., discretionary spend).
- Develop local Thought Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives.
- Conduct sales meetings to drive performance.
- Share best practices with direct reports, peers and HQ.
- Conduct annual and on-going performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and company policies.
- Lead OBDs and sales teams to meet revenue targets.
- Employ strong leadership skills, develop business plans for their areas and implement national sales strategies, ensuring inclusivity and collaboration across diverse teams.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the evolving oncology marketplace and its various customer segments.
- Develop and implement reliable, effective metrics to measure outcomes; identifies and recommends changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide ideas that contribute to the formation of the overall Regional, Area and national business strategies.
- Develop innovative ways to drive results within company guidelines.
- Exceeds performance driven goals and routinely measures outcomes.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
- Discover - Develop - Deliver - Collaborate
- Experience as an OBD, Field Director, or equivalent role, preferably within Incyte, is valued but not strictly require
- Extensive experience in specialty therapeutic sales within the hematology/oncology industry, with a focus on skills and achievements rather than specific years of experience.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities who may require them.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, with accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications, with accommodations available for assistive technologies.
- Demonstrated success in performance evaluations and maintaining current sales reports.
- Proven track record in sales and leadership performance. Experience in co-promotion, product marketing, access and reimbursement, or account management is beneficial.
- Ability to motivate, retain, and develop OBDs, and Sales Specialists.
- Familiarity with Infused Oncolytics and Specialty Pharmacy is beneficial
