The Director of Affluent, Product Management will be responsible for defining and executing the framework for supporting Visa's affluent card products. This role will focus on delivering tangible value through compelling benefits, loyalty programs including offers, points earn and burn, and exclusive sponsorship access, perks, and hospitality. The Director will work collaboratively with regional and local product teams to tailor the framework to their respective markets while maintaining a consistent brand and value proposition. Additionally, the Director will ensure the effective execution of the framework and strategy in partnership with the benefits, sponsorships, and loyalty teams.

Responsibilities

  • Framework Development: Define and develop a framework for supporting affluent card products with tangible value derived from compelling benefits, loyalty offers, points earn and burn, and sponsorship access, perks, and hospitality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with regional and local product teams to tailor the framework to meet market-specific needs while maintaining commonality to support Visa's brand and value propositions.
  • Execution: Partner with the benefits, sponsorships, and loyalty teams to ensure the effective execution of the framework and strategy.
  • Improvement and Innovation: Actively participate in initiatives to improve the coverage and quality of benefits and sponsorships, ensuring they are backed by a compelling business model that supports ongoing investment and refreshment to stay current.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including regional counterparts, corporate strategy, marketing, client services, finance, pricing, legal, and compliance, to drive product differentiation, consumer activation, and engagement.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership and strategic direction to enhance the overall value proposition of affluent card products.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and monitor financial performance indicators for affluent card products, including gross/net revenue targets, A&P budgets, and product metrics.
  • Business Planning: Contribute to business planning, management reporting, analytics, budget management, and adherence to compliance standards across all activities.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Experience in financial services, fintechs, telecom, retail, and e-commerce is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in P&L ownership with a sharp understanding of macroeconomics, consumer behavior, product operations, and business processes.
  • Established credentials in delivering product and business solutions with a keen interest in payment technology and innovation.
  • Sound business acumen, analytical skills, and a keen understanding of new technology payment business models and profitability drivers.
  • Excellent direct and indirect team building and leadership skills, managing local and remote team members as well as "dotted line"/extended team members in Visa's global regions.
  • Master's Degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 178,400.00 to 258,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
