Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $44,200 - Midpoint: $55,300 (Salaried E6)

Department/Organization: 506161 - HR Service Center

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The HR Business Specialist collaborates with one or more assigned HR Business Partner(s) to execute HR initiatives that support the employment life cycle.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and some human resources experience; OR associate's degree and two (2) years of human resources experience; OR high school diploma and four (4) years of human resources experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently and effectively with efficiency and appropriate follow-through while exercising discretion and independent judgement. Must be able to work in a team-based environment and also independently to meet deadlines. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and must have exceptional time management skills. Ability to maintain a professional approach to dealing with various individuals and issues with an exceptional customer service focus.

Preferred Qualifications: Human Resources experience in a higher education environment, preferably with working knowledge of federal and state regulations and UA's HR systems (PageUp, Banner, Workforce Management eTime), and experience working in a highly confidential, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. SHRM or HRCI certification.
