Distribution Technician II

Must have all qualifications of Gas Utility Worker and in addition:
1. Must have successfully performed the duties of Gas Utility Worker for a period of thirty-six (36) months or have had equivalent experience.
2. Must have demonstrated the ability to perform duties responsibly and safely.
3. Must be familiar with company's policies, practices and procedures.
4. Must be able to distinguish between propane and natural gas and recognize differences in their application, utilization, measuring and handling.
5. Must possess calm judgment and be willing to act on it in emergencies.
6. Must be able to identify meters and regulators by size and type.
7. Must be able to visually identify propane tanks by size and type.
8. Must be familiar with Federal, State, and Local Rules and Regulations applicable to their job.
9. Must be able to make clear and legible drawings and/or written records of work operations.
10. Must be capable of operating and performing minor maintenance on trenchers (walkers, and crawlers), boring equipment, electric generators, air compressors and hydraulic pumps, if and when they are made available.
11. Must be able to use pipe locating equipment and leak detection and locating equipment.
12. Must be certified to perform P.E. heat fused and mechanical joints.
13. Must be certified to perform CSST installations.
14. Must be able to satisfactorily perform taps up to 4" or larger dependent upon location.
15. Required to be On Call Duty rotation.
16. Must be able to pass the training requirements outlined in the Training Grid associated with this position
