Role Summary

In this role you will help support the Global Trade Compliance team by ensuring compliance with the United States export control regulations and assisting with other export activities. Overall activities may include management of license applications, coordination with internal stakeholders on new technology and products, export control classification, administering denied party list screening, and backup for export operations.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong critical thinking skills with the ability to address issues and challenges in daily work with limited supervision. Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills will benefit this role greatly as the candidate will be required to think and perform strategically in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Preparation and submission of export license applications.
  • Review and management of export authorizations.
  • Drafting and implementation of Technology Control Plans (TCPs).
  • Determining export classifications.
  • Creating and delivering in-person training on export controls to internal stakeholders.
  • Management and administration of trade sanctions and denied party list screening.
  • Backup for managing export shipments.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in International Trade/Business/Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years or more of hands-on experience in the administration and compliance with the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and OFAC regulations.
  • Experience in automotive or aerospace, space, and defense sectors is highly preferred.

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for Palo Alto, CA based applicants: $121,000 - $152,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range for Irvine, CA based applicants: $112,000 - $140,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Salary Range for Normal, IL based applicants: $102,000 - $127,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment.
