Role Summary

Rivian is looking for a Team Lead to help manage our Engineering Fleet vehicles and our team of Fleet Coordinators. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to think quickly on their feet, complete appropriate documentation with excellent attention to detail, and improve processes. We are looking for someone with strong leaderships skills with a passion for motivating and developing the Operating Fleet team.


Responsibilities

  • Develops close cohesive relationships and provides regular and accurate information to other Rivian operational departments as needed; including, but not limited to -Engineering, Sales Operations, Vehicle Operations, Remarketing, Outbound Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Tax, Communication, Digital teams, and others.
  • Management Accountabilities: Has subordinate individual contributors, vendors, or contractors; Develops and manages assigned staff.
  • Represents the Engineering Fleet team and provides input at meetings and to cross functional teams as required.
  • Key point of contact for the Engineering fleet in regards too: Vehicle requests, Vehicle information, shipments, charging, preparation, and retirement/disposal. Working with supporting teams for title/reg, vehicle maintenance, and compliance.
  • Monitor Fleet teams priorities and efficiencies based on Rivian's priorities. Advocate for the best tools and operational duties for the team to hit KPI's
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Program, and workshops to integrate new vehicle lines into fleet and be informed on allocation's assigned use.
  • Facilitate requests from Rivian teams that involve the Engineering fleet. Help with vehicle locations and movements to best suite the companies needs.
  • Oversite of Jira inventory sheets and Jira dashboard
  • Lead/manage quarterly physical inventory audits with Fleet Coordinators
  • Oversee decommissioning process and scheduling for all Engineering hubs.
  • Support Fleet Coordinator escalations to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and operational readiness.
  • Conduct new hire training when Fleet Coordinators are onboarded.
  • Conduct Engineering Fleet Quarterly Recharges with meaningful inputs to their growth within Rivian
  • Involvement in compensation and promotions for your employees
  • Up to 50% travel

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience in transportation or vehicle coordination; 3+ years supervisory experience preferred
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office, and ability to effectively navigate internal business platforms
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle (or state that you are commuting daily to/from) and possess an exceptional driving record
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customers on nights, weekends and/or holidays; Ability and willingness to travel based on business needs to support other market launches and operations
  • No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3-5-year period. Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring.
