AsField Sales Representative, you will be on the front lines working tobuild strong relationships with our water customers to help sell IDEXX's water testing equipment and services.In this field sales role, you will engage customers through knowledgeable interactions, business discussions and educational opportunities about what IDEXX has to offer. You will leverage yourconsultative sellingtechniques to translate customer needs into diagnostic solutions that leverage IDEXX's suite of products and services.

What to expect with this role:

  • Strive to exceed the sales revenues for IDEXX Water products throughregular sales visits with clients performing microbiology water testing on their drinking, raw, bottled and other waters.
  • You will have the opportunity tocollaborate and "co-sell" with other IDEXX sales professionals inthe region to close the capital equipment and technology.
  • Travel regularly to meet customers to sell the value of the IDEXX products.
  • Work to grow business annually through gaining new customers and growing existing business.
  • Show your proven track-record of closing sales and of meeting quarterly sales goals.
  • Schedule prospect calls, presentations, and training.
  • Collaborate with the help of inside sales partners.
  • Other assigned tasks.

What you need to succeed:

  • 5+ years of field sales experience with proven track-record of closing sales of consumables and equipment.
  • Prior experience working with corporate accounts preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize activities and work in the field with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet quarterly goals.
  • Ability to sell on value of a product versus price.
  • Ability to understand technical products and/or issues.
  • Excel at dealing with diverse group of end-users in public, private laboratories, wastewater treatment and large corporate companies.
  • Strong sales analysis and forecasting experience.
  • Experience overcoming objections and closing the accounts.
  • Clear and concise communicator.
  • Must be self-managed, self-motivated and extremely well organized.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in teamwork.
  • Candidate must reside in eitherPennsylvania, Virginia, DC, West Virginia or North Carolina
  • Candidates must reside near a major airport

Travel Demands:

  • Extensive travel-60% primary air with some car travel.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Base salary $65,000-85,000 based on experience
  • Lucrative quarterly commission structure.
