Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour As a Lab Technician, you will assist in sensory testing, data collection, analysis, and report writing to support various departments within Tyson. You'll also play a role in kitchen responsibilities such as inventory management, cleaning protocols, and assisting with shipping and material shopping. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and work on special projects designed to expand your knowledge of the sensory field. Responsibilities: Assist sensory lab specialists in designing and executing sensory tests Collect, analyze, and report data from sensory tests Support product cuttings and ensure proper kitchen inventory and cleaning procedures Help with shipping, shopping for materials, and other duties as needed Work on special projects to broaden knowledge in sensory science Qualifications: Current student or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Meat Science, Sensory Science, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Culinary, Psychology, or Statistics preferred Previous lab work experience, sensory lab experience a plus Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Word and PowerPoint Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and be a motivated self-starter SERVSAFE certification is a plus Why Work with Staffmark?
